Keep Yah Head Up
Keep Yah Head Up
Keep Yah Head Up is a deeply personal piece, rooted in a ritual I’ve carried with me since childhood writing affirmations on my bathroom mirror. It started as a quiet act of self-encouragement, a way to face each day with intention and resilience. Over time, it became a form of self-preservation, a reminder that no matter what life brings, I have the power to speak light into my own reflection.
This painting is an extension of that practice, an interactive invitation for the viewer to do the same. It’s meant to meet you where you are, whether you’re in the midst of struggle or simply seeking a moment of grounding. The message is simple but powerful: keep your head up. There is always light, even if it’s not yet visible.
