A Berber King
A Berber King

This piece was inspired by the unhealthy trending topic of man vs. woman and who should bring what to the fictional table in a relationship. The painting is my illustration of what good qualities a man in this society should possess. Which are a provider and protector (hence the amour), strong minded or willed like a warrior (hence the cut on the cheek), and a God fearing man (hence his gaze to the heavens).

A Woman of Howard

This painting was inspired by my time living in Washington DC. Being a person that was born in DC but not raised there I always felt a connection with the district. It has always been my home away from home and because of this, I wanted to paint a piece of it, by giving homage to the staple HBCU, Howard University.
